Meet Virgil McMullen! He’s been coming to Mt Tabor since 2018, and he loves to see everyone on “church day”. You may see him sneaking extra doughnuts from the snack table, handing out slightly crumpled bulletins to guests, or trying to race our other members down the church hallways (so watch out!).
In February of this year, Virgil and his father (Pastor Kevin) started attending Koreja Do classes that Mt Tabor hosts at the Family Life Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He hopes to continue with classes as soon as this period of social distancing ends.
If you found yourself on a deserted island and food / shelter were taken care of, what three things would you want with you and why?
- I would like to have lots of weapons, just in case there are octopuses, or squids, or jelleyfishes that attack me.
- I want my special shirt that has dinosaurs on it.
- I should probably have my box of Legos so I can build awesome stuff.
My “coming to Christ moment / story” is:
I asked Jesus to fix my broken heart and I prayed with Mommy and Daddy to ask Jesus to stay with me. I asked Jesus into my heart because I don’t want to be naughty, like saying the word “stupid”, and I want to be nice to all the people.
A part of my life that has been redeemed:
Jesus saved me from the snake that tried to bite me that time; maybe it was like maybe 20 or 30 months ago. I saw the snake coming towards me and yelled for help and my dad came to rescue me and he saved me from the snake. Jesus helped me be brave and call for help.
